Aeration Technologies, Inc.™ equipment helps to keep the water quality from a poor unhealthy condition to a cleaner healthier state thereby increasing the aesthetics and your water resources. This is done by using Aeration Technology's compressors that are designed specifically to pump air through our AnchorLine™ self-weighted air supply tubing to the AirPod™ bubblers located on the bottom. These bubbles will entrain the bottom water usually low in oxygen and bring it to the surface. At the surface, the water will lose the bad gasses like carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. Since there is so little oxygen found in this water, it will have a desire to absorb oxygen from the atmosphere. Eventually this oxygen-laden water will be brought to the bottom though a layer process.

When an aeration system is sized and designed properly the habitat will be provided for beneficial bacteria (aerobic bacteria) and benthic organisms to help clean the lake. Nutrients that feed algae will also be bonded to the bottom sediments. It can be expected to precipitate iron found in the water column as well. This iron is typically found when the aquatic resource is low in oxygen saturation or when the aquatic habitat is stratified.
